Due to several recent factors, the Division Executive Committee has proposed a $10.00 increase in dues for each member to become effective July 1, 2022. This must be approved by the members of Division 683 at our next scheduled meeting on June 2, 2022, in accordance with the BLET Bylaws, LDR Section 46.(a), which states:
“A division may not change its dues rate or levy an assessment without a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote, by secret ballot, of all the active members present. Notice shall be given at least fifteen (15) days prior to the scheduled date of the division meeting at which the proposed change will be voted. Such notice must be posted at terminals, division bulletin boards and/or electronic means, unless otherwise specified in a division’s standing rules.”
All members in attendance will be afforded the opportunity to weigh in and discuss the matter proposed.
