STATUTES OF LIMITATIONS:
FELA:
Three (3) years from the date of the occurrence.
FELA WITH THIRD PARTY:
(2) years, in Illinois and Indiana, for the non-railroad party ( e.g., livery service, industry).
CLAIM AGAINST METRA/ILLINOIS MUNICIPALITY: One (I) year from the date of the occurrence.
PERSON AL INJURY /ILLINOIS:
Two (2) years from the date of occurrence (e.g., motor vehicle, premises liability).
MEDICAL MALPRACTICE:
Two (2) years from the date of the alleged malpractice or from date knew, or should have known, malpractice occurred.
FELA DISCOVERY RULE: Three (3) years from date knew, or should have known, the diagnosed condition was due to occupational injury/exposure.
FEDERAL RAILROAD SAFETY ACT/ WHISTLEBLOWER:
