Lane closures set Sept. 15 on North Avenue
The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that the two right lanes of westbound Illinois 64 (North Avenue) between South Railroad Avenue and Interstate 290 in Northlake will be closed for pavement repairs Saturday, Sept. 15.
Westbound North Avenue through the work zone will be reduced to one lane at 4 a.m., with all lanes reopening by 1 p.m.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
